Too Soon?

Okay today has been quite a lazy day in regards to teaching. They were all taking tests and that has left me with so much time on my hands, which got me thinking about all the drama my mom is having planning my nephew's 4th birthday which is a month a away.

Now, I'm a planner and an organizer! I can't help it, all through college I was an event planner. So when it comes to having to plan parties, events, etc. I tend to go over board, and and have extravaganzas rather than just a celebration. Now as I said, my mom is planning my nephews party and for reasons uncontrollable (SIL) it has not been great. So I decided that 1. I am going to help my mom out and B. I think I will begin on Khloe's 1st.

Okay, Okay I know her birthday is something like 3 months away, but like I said I am a serious planner. If I don't have OCD-ish organization for everything like holidays and parties I become a great big ball of anxiety. So I am beginning the planning. Now my big problem(s) are I can't find anything in stores I even half like! I did find this cupcake theme that is adorable!
I thought that ordering it online made it expensive, but shipping is a whole $12, no biggie. The thing that is making it a billion dollars is the fact that with just family we have 50 people that will be there. Then throw in, 20-25 friends... Is that ridiculous for a birthday party? This is the main thing I'm struggling with... 75 people at a birthday party!

Seriously people call me, text me, leave a comment... Is this too many people for a birthday party?

  1. lori, i swear you are a girl after my own heart.

I started the planning on connor's party when he was 6 mos old!! we had about 65 ppl there and it was a hit. it's his first birthday. please don't let people tell you that he won't remember it so don't put too much time and money into it...that drove me crazy!! the first birthday is a huge deal so enjoy it.

let me know if you have any questions. :)
