Monday's a Croc...

So the old saying goes: April Showers Bring May Flowers... Personally I feel April showers bring idiotic drivers, ugly clothes, and Crocs.

This passed weekend was beautiful! We took Khloe to get some Spring pictures taken at Olan Mills in the mall, and because it was so lovely out we parked a distance away so that we could walk. Then we went to a park so she could get her fill of swinging! We have to get one for the yard because she is in love with swinging, but I'm not in love with some of the kids that parks bring out. Sunday she had a fit for bubbles outside, basically the girl loves being outside in any form.
Unfortunately, it's raining today, and not just a little drizzle, but pouring. The kind that causes intense puddles that consume the whole bottom quarter of your pants! Which is fantastic because it's a Monday and we all know that Mondays are the BEST day of the week.
Because it is a Monday, I didn't get up when I should have. In turn making me have to rush out the door, which meant something was going to be left behind! Dang it, my students research papers! I was supposed to give them their rough drafts back so they can fix, more like do for the first time, their in-text citations (plagiarizing little punks). Oh well, they just finished reading The Crucible and took their test on Friday so I'll let them watch a movie. The Craft makes sense right?!?!? It's about witches and well okay maybe not perfectly appropriate, but we have 4 days this week and then they are on Spring Break. Be honest with ourselves how on top of things and eager to learn were we the few days before a week off? NOT AT ALL - Besides I do feel like I'm coming down with something. I think it may be the teacher version of senioritis... I hear it is highly contagious! Not good, only cuddling with my pumpkin pie watching Pretty in Pink can cure it.
Well, until then, I will be sitting here in my lovely classroom wearing my water proof crocs, waiting for my 2nd period to come galloping in with pure enthusiasm (insanity).
